Live U is sinonymous of live in the audiovisual world. Since years ago, this brand has become the leader solution of signal transportation in live with mobility; all of this from a single bag. This bag, as the time passes by, is even smaller even though its technological capacity has augmented.

The transmission of live audiovisual content always come along with mobile unit and satellite connection. This option still provides great quality, but its main problem is the high technical and human display it requires; and the high cost this involves. In this panorama Live U appeared with its live connection through mobile network, using only a bag which can be connected to a camera. Revolution is served.

In the past 7 years, the production of live events with this kind of technology has boosted. The amenity of not being chained to a mobile unit, the price reduction of not having to hire a satellite window and the appereance of 4G technology to these bags, has made this option one of the mostly used by tv shows.

And if we speak of tv shows, there is a need to stand out this cost reduction per connection which has made a great impact on content design. The inclusion of lives within the tv program schedule, both in entertainment programs as well as in news bulletins, has boosted to provide a sense of “here and now” in the majority of formats. Beforehand, Lives where mainly used in news bulletins, while now it has expanded to other segments of the TV shedule.

Thanks to our MCR, our bags can send signals of any corporate event into a web player or a mobile app for the act to be transmitted on streaming from any device. Furthermore, in other events and acts, the Live U bag can use Ethernet or Wi-Fi connections, as well as 3G and 4G, to ensure the sending of data with a constant and balanced flow.

Live!’s broadcast service has 24 bags with Live U technology strategically distributed throughout the national territory to provide inmmediate service to customers like ATRESMEDIA; MEDIASET, FORTA or Telemadrid. Olympic Channel and Movistar+ count with our international live services with this technology.

This last 30th of April, Live! had the chance to try the new LiveU LU600 at the Miami’s World Paddel Tour with our client Never Seen. The team exceeded with great success the complex challenge of transmiting at the same time, as a back up, the tournement’s final for Gol TV in HD. Soon, this prototype will offer the chance to send in 4k quality and in H.265 format with the use of a special card.
